DCR is looking for talented people to fill positions listed below. Unless stated otherwise, you must complete and submit an electronic state application by the job announcement's close date.
Generally applications must be made through the RMS (electronic state application). We will, however, accept paper applications for some state park slots. Be sure to refer to the individual recruitment for specific requirements.
Certain positions require a criminal background check, a conflict of interest financial statement or both. Law-enforcement positions require a fingerprint-based FBI investigation. DCR is an EEO/AA/ADA Employer.

Raymond R. “Andy” Guest, Jr. Shenandoah River State Park is accepting applications for the Housekeeping Ranger position.
Job Summary:
Shenandoah River State Park’s Housekeeping Rangers are responsible for the safe and efficient cleaning of guest cabins and other park facilities. Incumbent will learn how to use cleaning tools and chemicals in a safe manner, including the proper use of personal protective equipment. Cabins and other park facilities must be cleaned to a high standard within the prescribed time frame. Will be responsible for inventorying cabin supplies to ensure they are available for the next guest. Work is usually fast paced and physically demanding, including bending down and reaching up frequently.
