There is an upcoming opportunity to hunt waterfowl at Crows Nest Natural Area Preserve in Stafford County, Virginia. Hunters will be selected by lottery. Successful applicants will be responsible for re-conditioning or re-constructing their own blinds at two assigned locations along the shoreline and marshes at Crow’s Nest. Hunting will be on Mondays only from ½ hour before sunrise to sunset during the September 2026 teal season, the October 2026 early duck season, and the general duck season beginning in November 2026 and ending in January 2027. There is an upcoming opportunity to hunt whitetail deer at Crow’s Nest Natural Area Preserve in Stafford County, Virginia. Hunters will be selected by lottery. There will be two drawings, one for a muzzleloader hunt and another for a firearms hunt. These will be two-day hunts. Hunt dates will be November 10 and 11 for the muzzleloader hunt and November 17 and 18 for the firearms hunt. Successful applicants will be randomly assigned a hunt zone.
