We are holding an Agricultural Operations: Livestock training on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026, at Ferrum College from 9am – 4pm. The training will provide a high-level overview of livestock operations including a tour of Ferrum’s Titmus Agricultural Center. Documenting resource concerns and inventorying an operation are conservation planning tools covered in this course. The training will also include BMPs commonly used for livestock operations and engineering considerations. An experienced SWCD conservation planner will walk through factors such as grazing management and interior fencing for stream exclusion practices. We hope you can join us!
