Creek Critters

Where
Program Location: Campground
Main Park Address: Grayson Highlands State Park, 829 Grayson Highland Ln., Mouth of Wilson, VA 24363.
When
Sept. 12, 2026. 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
There are more than just fish that live in the creeks at Grayson Highlands State Park! Beat the heat and get your feet wet searching for critters and macroinvertebrates that live in the cold mountain streams. The ranger will be waiting at the stage by The Country Store, and then we will hike down to the creek area.
The hike will be moderate with some rocky and wet terrain. Bring water, a snack, and shoes that you don't mind getting wet / good hiking shoes.
