June 6, 2026. 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Come out and help Staunton River Battlefield State Park pick up trash and remove invasive species along the Battlefield Trail by the Roanoke Station Train Depot. Please wear closed-toe shoes and make sure to bring water, sunscreen, and gloves.

About National Trails Day

On the first Saturday of June, Virginia State Parks celebrates National Trails Day®, an annual event sponsored by the American Hiking Society encouraging outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to explore hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Virginia’s 44 state parks offer guided hikes, trail maintenance workshops and volunteer opportunities to highlight trail stewardship and the importance of preserving trails for future generations.
