PROGRAM CHANGE: "Old Time Games on the Lawn" has been changed to our interactive "Civil War Camp Life" program. This will take place at the Clover Visitor Center.
How did soldiers sleep after a march? Could they even sleep? What did soldiers eat while in camp? With a simple camp scene on display, learn about the various foods soldiers ate while in camp, some of the equipment they would have carried on long marches and how they passed the time, in this interactive program that will be held in front of Clover Visitor Center.

About Virginia State Parks History and Culture Day
On June 15, 1936, Virginia became the first state to open an entire park system of six parks on the same day.
