Settle in for a relaxing wagon ride as a park ranger guides you through the scenic landscapes of James River State Park. During the trip, your ranger will share stories and insights about the natural, cultural, and historical resources that make this area special. You will learn about the diverse wildlife, native plants, and the long and meaningful history of the James River and the communities connected to it.

The wagon will carry you to the beautiful Tye Overlook, which offers one of the most stunning views in the region. When you arrive, guests will take a short 150 yard walk over flat, even terrain to reach the overlook.

Please meet at Canoe Landing. Suitable for all ages. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather and bring a water bottle with you. Parks are for everyone, please let us know if you need special accommodation.
