(12-1 pm)
Come out to explore the New River, get your feet wet, and see what organisms live underwater!
Using the river as a laboratory, a naturalist will lead the search under rocks for aquatic life and discover how these critters (aquatic macroinvertebrates) can help us determine the health of the river.
Bring water and snacks. Wear closed-toe shoes that can get wet and bring a change of clothes.
This program is weather permitting, check the website for any cancellations.
Meeting location: Outside the Discovery Center in the Historic Foster Falls Village.
