Calling all budding detectives. Join us for an adventure, where you'll uncover the hidden secrets of the insect world. We’ll start by cracking the case of why insects are so crucial to our ecosystems, dive into their unique life cycles, and learn where to find them in the wild. Then, it’s time to put on your detective hats and embark on a bug hunt. Armed with magnifying glasses, you’ll investigate insects of all shapes and sizes, piecing together clues to identify these mysterious creatures. Get ready for a fun, hands-on exploration full of insect secrets waiting to be discovered!

About National Kids to Parks Day

Virginia State Parks celebrates National Kids to Parks Day on the third Saturday in May by offering a variety of fun, family-friendly activities, from nature scavenger hunts and ranger-led hikes to fishing clinics and flora and fauna wagon rides. This annual event encourages kids to explore the outdoors while learning about wildlife and engaging in hands-on environmental education.
