Sometimes called "Backyard Bass", this fishing activity focuses on casing technique using rod and reel to snag a toy fish and reel it in. The activity is held on land at the end of the beach furthest from the parking lot. The ranger will provide people over eight years of age with the rules, instructions, and a rod and reel while supplies last. The target "fish" will be in the sand. The equipment is not suitable for children under eight years old. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. There is no actual fishing during this program.
