Shape of Things Walk

Where
Program Location: Visitor Center Lawn
Main Park Address: Mason Neck State Park, 7301 High Point Rd., Lorton, VA 22079.
When
Sept. 13, 2026. 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Discover the shapes hidden in nature on this fun and interactive walk designed for guests 7-10 years old and their caregivers. As we explore the park, we'll search for circles, triangles, patterns, and other shapes found in leaves, flowers, trees, animal homes, and more. Through a simple craft and observation, guests will learn how shapes are all around us and how nature inspires the designs we see every day.
You do not need to be a Girl Scout to participate. Please plan for a short walk around the lawn and down a short trail during our time. Wear sturdy shoes and bring enough water for our time together. Insect repellent and sunscreen are recommended. Limited to 15 guests and their adults. Please register at the Visitor Center during open hours 703-339-2385.
