Visit the Powhatan Library for a special summer program presented by the volunteers of Family Learning Adventures and park rangers from Powhatan State Park. This STEAM-focused "Nature Lab" series invites you to explore the different books, games, and learning kits you can check out and take home with you to learn more about nature and the environment. In addition to browsing resources, there will also be an informal activity, exhibit, or presentation you can check out.
August 5th: "Bugs & Beyond"
Join Powhatan State Park rangers to observe living and preserved specimens of Virginia's insects, worms, and spiders!
August 19th: "Bears, Coyotes, and Bobcats, Oh My!"
Join Powhatan State Park rangers to learn all about these common yet misunderstood predators and get hands-on with pelts, skulls, and tracks!

While registration is not required for this program, it is recommended. If you register, we will be able to contact you if the program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
