Try your hand at reeling in some fun with Backyard Bass, an interactive casting game designed for visitors of all ages. During this hands-on activity, you’ll learn the basics of how to cast a fishing rod, practice your aim by “catching” bright, colorful fish targets, and explore some of the common fish species that live beneath the surface of Douthat Lake and Wilson Creek. It’s a relaxed, drop-in program that welcomes beginners, curious kids, and seasoned anglers who just want to sharpen their casting technique. Whether you’re discovering fishing for the first time or looking for a quick outdoor challenge, this activity offers a simple and enjoyable way to dive into the world of angling.
