Aug. 15, 2026. 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Come to the Acorn Shelter between 6 and 7 p.m. to partake in fun and food. Participants will be loaned hand-held GPS units to find three hidden boxes. The cache locations are new for August 2026. In each box will be a ticket for one component of a s'more. Find all three boxes and you'll have the makings of a s'more that you are welcome to toast on the fire or save for later. A park ranger will give instructions on how to use the GPS units. The roasting fire will be available until 8 p.m. The marshmallows are vegan friendly.

The search route can be done by active younger kids but is not generally considered baby stroller friendly. Showing proof of identity will be required to borrow the GPS units.
