Oct. 30, 2026. 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Ghosts and goblins aren't the only things that come out at Halloween, so do the owls!

Join us on the eve of Halloween, Friday, October 30, from 6:30pm until 8:00 pm as we hit the Cedar Creek Trail to talk about and call one of the park's most mysterious nighttime creatures, the eastern screech owl. Hoo knows, we might even hear and see a few of these spectral forest denizens, if the spirits are with us.

Pre-registration is required and space is limited. To register, call (540) 254-0795. Prepayment is taken at time of registration by credit card over the phone, and you will be emailed a receipt.

The program fee is $7 for adults (13+), $4 for children (12 and younger). Meet at the park visitor center to get started. The building will be closed so no restrooms will be available.

Questions? Call (540) 254-0795 to speak with a ranger.
