Learn about the men who worked the rails before it became the trail that is beloved by many today!

The New River Trail was once part of a rail line known as the North Carolina Branch.  For over 100 years, the railroad provided a way to move freight and passengers along the New River Valley.  From the days of steam to the last few decades of diesel powered engines, the rail was the center of industry in the mountains of Southwest Virginia.

The movie will be held in the Amphitheater in the Historic Village of Foster Falls.

Admission to the program is free. VA State Park parking fees still apply.
