The Friends of Occoneechee bring you the 3rd annual Turkey Trot 5K race and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk.

This 5K will take place in the beautiful scenery of Occoneechee State Park. Strollers, well-mannered pets on a leash and costumes are welcome. The course consists of paved roads, rolling hills, and lake views as it winds through wooded areas of the park. Medals will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers of the 5K and top three male and female finisher in various age groups.

The registration fee is $30 per entrant for the 5K. Price is $10 to register for the Kids One Mile Fun Run. If you register by October 17 you can order an event t-shirt with your registration. Registration ends Nov 8. Late registration is Nov 9 – Nov 12. 5K Run - $45.00. You may also register in person on the day of, cash only.

The $7 parking fee applies; however, a donation of 4 canned food items will waive the parking fee for participants only.

This event is sponsored by The Friends of Occoneechee. Donations by local vendors and individuals make this event possible. All proceeds directly benefit the park by providing funding for projects around the park.
