Learn about the marvelous monarch and explore the shoreline of the Potomac by kayak! Enjoy a daytime paddle on the lower Potomac River as we look for butterflies and bald eagles. We'll search the skies for these magnificent creatures as they soar and perch along the shore.

Meet at the Visitor Center to collect paddles and gear before riding down to the shore with the boats. Paddlers must be age 16+ for a solo kayak and age 8+ (with an adult) for tandem kayak. Wear clothes that can get wet and close-toed shoes. Be prepared to help load and unload the kayaks at the beach before and after the paddle.
