Ever wondered how dugout canoes were made during the Woodland period of Virginia? Russel Reed of Fire Crafted Canoes is back at the park to share his craft and knowledge with us. Come watch how dugout canoes were built using traditional techniques and learn about the tools used to change a log into a fully functional canoe! This program is open to participant of all ages.
