Whoooooo wants to go on a spooky after-dark adventure to search for owls on the trails? Join us at Picnic Shelter #1 every Saturday night in October to talk about the species of owls found at Kiptopeke and the anatomical features that make them so perfectly adapted to their nocturnal predator lifestyle. Then, we'll hike through the woods and play owl calls to encourage some feathered friends to give us a callback or maybe, just maybe, show themselves. We can't guarantee we'll hear or see owls every time, but we can promise it'll be a hoot!

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. During the hike portion, attendees are encouraged to avoid loud noises/talking and lights that might scare owls away, but red flashlights (which do not interfere with night vision) will be available for anyone who is more comfortable with something to light the way.
