Ready to have some tail-wagging fun in the outdoors?

People and pets are welcome to join us for a hike to learn about the principles of being a B.A.R.K. Ranger and explore the sights and smells of the park! Bring your furry friends for a hike! Take in the scenery and learn about the park, its history, and some wildlife that call it home. You can also say hi to our B.A.R.K. Ranger Ambassador Percy who demonstrates the B.A.R.K. Ranger Principles. You can learn more about Percy here!

Come explore the park and have your pet become a B.A.R.K. Ranger at Machicomoco State Park.

For this hike we'll be hiking about 1 mile on part of Songbird, Oyster, and Loblolly Trail, which are designated as easy trails which have little change in grade and cover primarily grassy, dirt, and gravel terrain.

All pets must be on a 6ft or shorter leash while in the park, have an up to do rabies vaccination, and be comfortable in public spaces.

We strive to make our programs accessible and inclusive to all. If you have any concerns, please reach out by phone or email. We will attempt to accommodate all individuals or families for their unique circumstances and can do so best with advanced communication.
