DELAPLANE, Va. - Sky Meadows State Park invites visitors of all ages to enjoy an unforgettable evening of music, food and the moonlit sky at the annual Stars & Guitars concert event scheduled for May 2, 4-11 p.m.

Set against the scenic backdrop of the historic Mount Bleak House, this special event features live performances from local bluegrass bands, culminating in a headlining performance by Jack Dunlap. He’s a nationally recognized mandolin and guitar player whose sound blends traditional bluegrass with jazz, swing, blues, rock and more.

In addition to live music, visitors can enjoy a variety of local food vendors. Families will also find ranger-led interpretive tables, kids’ activities and plenty of open lawn space ideal for blankets, picnics and a relaxed spring night.

The park anticipates a significant turn out for the event, so visitors are encouraged to arrive early to secure entry. Once the park reaches its maximum capacity, entry gates will be closed.

Visitors who reserve a free Stars & Guitars ticket on the park’s website should note that a ticket does not guarantee admission. Tickets help the park estimate attendance and manage event logistics, but all entry is first-come, first-served.

The standard parking fee applies when attending Stars & Guitars. For more information, please go to www.virginiastateparks.gov/skymeadows-events.
