CHESTERFIELD, Va. – Pocahontas Premieres returns to the Heritage Amphitheater at Pocahontas State Park and will showcase some new musical acts this year. American Idol golden ticket winner Carrie Brockwell will kick off the series along with Redneck Pool Party on May 9.
New this year, guests can purchase season tickets that will get you entry to all the concerts and free parking for each of those shows. Be sure to catch all the concerts in the series and purchase tickets HERE.
The Beach Bumz are new to the series this year and they are a Jimmy Buffet and Beach Boys tribute band that will have you enjoying beach music at the end of summer.
The Richmond Symphony and ZOSO with Hold the Line will be returning this year. The park will also host its annual Bluegrass Festival on August 15 that will include bands such as Josh Grigsby and County Line, Tara Mills Band, Garden Variety String Band and David Wade and Black Mountain.
“Our stage offers a wonderful space to showcase local talent and welcome back beloved bands that have quickly become crowd favorites,” said Pocahontas State Park Assistant Manager Mike Biby. “With something for everyone to enjoy, we hope you’ll join us for incredible music surrounded by the natural beauty of Pocahontas State Park. Come out, bring your friends and family and experience the magic of live music in the park.”
Pocahontas Premieres runs from May through October, and tickets can be purchased at the gate or online. The gates will open one hour before each concert. Tickets are required for each show, even the free concerts. The parking fee is required upon entry unless a season ticket is purchased for the concerts.
