This training is free, but registration is required. Please use the website listed above to register for this training.

Description:

This 4-hour course will focus on FEMA’s Elevation Certificate, including what the form is used for, how to complete the form correctly, including how to determine a base flood elevation, how to review the form for compliance purposes, and how the form relates to the Community Rating System. This course is intended to provide an organized training opportunity for local officials responsible for reviewing Elevation Certificates to determine compliance with their local floodplain management ordinance as well as private industry professionals that may be responsible for completing Elevation Certificates.

Target Audience:

Local floodplain administrators, local building officials, and private industry professionals (surveyors, engineers, architects)

Continuing Education Credits:

  • 4 CECs from Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) for Certified Floodplain Managers (CFM) - pending approval
  • ICC continuing education credits will be requested, but nothing has not been approved at this time. 

Lunch will not be provided. There will be a one hour lunch break and there are multiple restaurants near the facility.
