Details/DescriptionThis National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Advanced Floodplain Management Concepts training course is a virtual and interactive instruction that covers the following five topics in more details than the basic course:
• Common Noncompliance Issues
• Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRMs)
• Higher Standards in Floodplain Management
• Disconnects between the NFIP regulations and insurance
• Placement of Manufactured Homes and Recreational Vehicles in the Floodplain

Target Audience:
Local officials responsible for administering their local floodplain management ordinance will be given priority, but others are welcome to participate including zoning officials, elected leaders, surveyors, engineers, and solicitors.

Each session has its own registration – can register for all 4 session (priority) or just 1, 2 or 3 sessions. Only register for the session you can attend since SPACE IS LIMITED. CECs will only be provided for the session(s) you attend.
